Virat Kohli would have hit me for six sixes in an over, says this retired bowling legend

New Delhi: Virat Kohli is currently miles ahead of competition when it comes to consistency in the T20 format.

While AB de Villiers has been brilliant in the IPL as well, the RCB skipper is batting at a different level at the moment.

With four tons to his name, Virat has shown that his batting prowess in the shortest format of cricket is unmatched.

The right-hander has been hailed not just by his contemporaries but also former players across the world for his superlative batting show in the cash-rich league.

The latest compliment to Virat came via an unlikely source in former Sri Lanka bowler Chaminda Vaas.

"If I were to bowl to Virat in this form, I am sure he would have hit me for six sixes in an over. He is in a different class. He is commanding the game and dominating the bowlers. Virat wants to be like Sachin (Tendulkar) and one day even get better than him," the former left-arm pacer was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.

The 42-year-old was widely regarded as one of the best bowlers of his generation. Vaas was a key member of the Sri Lanka squad, which won the 1996 World Cup and dominated world cricket.
