New Delhi: Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq once again led from the front to rescue an otherwise sinking Pakistani inning on Day 1 of the first test against England at Lord's.

The 42-year-old was virtually untroubled by the English bowling attack, securing a 148-run partnership with Asad Shafiq, who departed after scoring 73 runs.
