New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj remained tight-lipped on Indo-Pak cricket series even after meeting his Pakistan counterpart Sartaj Aziz on Wednesday.

Many were expecting an announcement regarding the much-anticipated cricket series between India-Pakistan after her meeting with Aziz.

But Sushma, who is in Islamabad to attend the Heart of Asia regional conference, remained tight-lipped on the matter after the meeting got over.

“India and Pakistan have decided to restart the Composite Dialogue, which was later also called Resumed Composite Dialogue.

“It will now be called Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue - it will include all issues from Composite Dialogue and much more,” Said Sushma.

“Foreign Secretaries of two countries will meet and discuss the modalities to hold Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue.”: added Sushma.

Earlier, PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan had earlier told media: "We have been informally told that Swaraj will talk on cricket and decide the fate of the series," PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan had earlier told media.

The series, agreed between the two boards in a memorandum of understanding signed last year, ran into trouble amid strained relations over cross-border shelling in disputed Kashmir.
