New Delhi: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar reportedly sought Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar's help in a matter involving rescue of a Mussoorie based luxurious resort. The property allegedly was in a security dispute with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

On speaking to ET, a defence ministry offical said that the urgency of the matter was such that Sachin had to cut short his Australia trip last year just to meet Parrikar regarding this matter.

The property, allegedly breached a 50-foot, no-construction zone right next to the Institute of Technology Management, forcing DRDO to intervene.

The official also revealed that Tendulkar had been trying to meet the minister and an appointment was set up. He spoke at length about the property case, which was heard out. However, no action was taken on the request put forward.

The property, which is partly owned by Tendulkar's business partner Sanjay Narang did not comment on the matter on his own but his agend stated that the area in dispute fell outside the zone. and the DRDO institute had taken a "faulty stand" and had made "wrong interpretations".

The controversey, reportedly, has reached the Central Vigilance Commission and Central Bureau of Investigation last month.
