New Delhi: With BCCI not yet having appointed a full-time coach, Ravi Shastri is likely to continue as head of the coaching staff for the series against South Africa.
“The board is busy with its own matters and due to a lack of time, Shastri and the rest of the coaching staff are likely to continue for the upcoming series,” a source told the Times of India.
The source also stated that the Team India director was keen on a full-time contract.
In his last address to the media, board secretary Anurag Thakur had said that a coach would be appointed before the Proteas' visit on October 2.
However, the BCCI appears to be taking its time before taking this important call.
