Ranji Trophy: Virender Sehwag isn't done yet, scores sublime ton post international retirement!

New Delhi: Virender Sehwag dictated the old tale of class being permanent. Just two days after announcing his retirement from international cricket, the former Indian legend scored a century on Thursday for Ranji Trophy side Haryana.

Sehwag scored a blistering century off just 119 deliveries against Karnataka in Mysore. Thousands of fans gathered in the stadium to cheer for Sehwag who was the star attraction of the tie. Sehwag made sure the fans were entertained wholly. His innings contained 11 fours and three sixes.

He is still at the crease with fellow batsman Jayant Yadav who is unbeaten on 61 runs.

The Nawab of Najafgarh who has been in pretty good form this Ranji season, dealt blow to a leading bowling attack that Karnataka boasts of.

Sehwag who captains the Rajasthan side had won the toss earlier and chose to bat first. His decision proved vital after giving a solid start to the visitors.

Sehwag had earlier confirmed his participation in next year's Masters Champions League 2020, where only retired cricketers can play.

Sehwag played 104 Tests scoring 8586 runs at an impressive average of 49.34, hitting 23 centuries and 32 half-centuries. In 251 ODIs, he accumulated 8273 runs at an average of 35.05 and scored 15 hundreds apart from hitting 38 fifties.
