New Delhi: Every single day in Sachin Tendulkar's life, is momentous. Days after his 43rd birthday, the official Twitter handle of International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a vintage image of the batting great.

The occasion, rather a poignant one, was to commemorate the day when a 19-year-old Sachin turned out for the first time for English county side Yorkshire, in 1992.

The batting maestro became the first overseas-born player to represent Yorkshire, which prior to him joining the team, never selected players even from other English counties.

Selected for Yorkshire as a replacement for the injured Australian fast bowler Craig McDermott, Tendulkar played 16 first-class matches for the county and scored 1070 runs at an average of 46.52.
