New Delhi: In a dramatic incident, former Pakistani cricketer Hanif Mohammad bounced back to life after being declared dead.

It was earlier reported that the 81-year-old, who has been undergoing treatment for cancer for quite some time, was dead.

However, his son Shoaib Mohammad later said that his father was still alive and there was some miscommunication about the news. His heart-beat had stopped for six minutes though.

One of the country's finest batsmen, he still holds the record for highest score (337) in an innings by a Pakistani batsman, followed by Inzamamul Haq (329) and Younus Khan (313). He was also named as Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1968.
