New Delhi: The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) is all set to submit an affidavit against the sweeping reforms suggested by Lodha panel to the Supreme Court.
According to a report in The Times Of India, the Indian board will submit its 200-page affidavit before the apex court before March 3.
The sources told the newspaper that the board is likely to raise the main issue explaining it might suffer huge financial losses by minimizing the ads during matches, as recommended by Lodha panel.
The BCCI is also against Lodha panel's suggestion that IPL franchise owners should be part of the IPL governing council.
Earlier, Mumbai Cricket Association, headed by former BCCI President Sharad Pawar, would file an intervention application before the Supreme Court to highlight the difficulties in implementing Justice R M (retired) Lodha Committee's recommendations to restructure the Board.
This was decided at a meeting of the MCA's Managing Committee, said a media release today from the association's joint secretaries, P V Shetty and Unmesh Khanvilkar.
