Super Sunday, IPL 2016: What RCB, KKR, DD need to do to qualify for playoffs!

New Delhi: As the last day of IPL's round-robin matches kicks off, two playoffs spots are up for grabs.

For the neutrals, the the ongoing edition is perfectly poised with two crucial games on the cricket menu.

On Saturday, a comprehensive win for Gujarat Lions over Mumbai Indians in Kanpur not only helped them but also SunRisers Hyderabad qualify for the playoffs.

In the first match of Super Sunday, SRH take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens and in the second, Royal Challengers Bangalore face Delhi Daredevils.

So what do the RCB, DD and KKR need to achieve on Sunday in order to book their place for the next phase.

RCB and DD: A win will guarantee either team a place in the playoffs. Since DD's net run-rate is lower than the teams above them, a defeat will end their run. RCB however, stand a chance to progress even if SRH beat KKR in Match 55. Virat Kohli's side has a significantly high NNR, which could come into play.

KKR: For Gautam Gambhir's side the equation is simply. They need to beat SRH who have already qualified for the playoffs. A defeat too can see KKR sneak into the next round if RCB beat DD. Again, better NRR as compared to DD and MI will help KKR if they end up with 14 points.

MI too have a slim chance of qualification. For that to happen, Rohit Sharma's side needs KKR and RCB to lose their respective matches.
