New Delhi: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta on Thursday issued a clarification saying that she did not abuse, threaten Kings XI Punjab's coach Sanjay Bangar after her team's one-run loss in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016.

The Bollywood actress issued a statement on her Facebook page where she slammed all reports and said she only had a 20-second conversation with the coaching staff after the match and did not use any abusive language.

"I most definitely DID NOT be disrespectful to our coach nor abuse any one & definitely did not use the FOUR LETTER WORD," she said.

Earlier, it was reported by Mumbai Mirror that the Bollywood actress hurled expletives and abuses at Bangar, after she was uhappy with his decision to send Farhaan Behardien ahead of Axar Patel, since the left-hander had tonked a 7-ball 21 in the previous match.

In her statement, Preity agreed that she did ask the coaching staff about Axar Patel's batting position, but it was a brief conversation, post which she went to speak with winning skipper Virat Kohli.

"I did speak to Veeru & Sanjay for exactly 20 seconds and asked why Axe did not bat after which I congratulated Virat Kohli & spoke to him briefly as he walked up to me. After which I proceeded to have a chat with Shane Watson& then left the ground with my husband & In Laws as we were in one car & I was disappointed," she said.

KXIP missed out on their fourth win of the tournament, after they failed to score 17 runs off the final six balls. While Marcus Stoinis tried his best, as he slammed Chris Jordan for a six and a boundary in the final over, Punjab eventually fell short by one run.
