Reacting to the youngster's 10-ball 35, Gayle showered praise on him and said that he is like a buddy and like a son to me.
"We get along well. Sarfaraz keeps texting me and the way he played today was fantastic. He's too young and he's like a son to me. He's definitely one for the future and one must keep an eye on him," said the West Indian.
The 18-year-old blasted 35 runs off just 10 balls which included five boundaries and two sixes.
After putting 227 runs on board, RCB comprehensively won the match by 45 runs.
