How Virat Kohli suffered Rs 36 lakh loss during the 2016 Indian Premier League!

New Delhi: Yet again, the Royal Challengers Bangalore find themselves in a similar position in the Indian Premier League.

While Virat Kohli the batsman has enjoyed tremendous success, the captain in him has plenty of problems.

The stylish right-hander has already scored 433 runs in the tournament but his side is in real danger of missing out on a play-off spot.

On a personal front, the 27-year-old has been fined Rs 36 lakh already during the ongoing edition.

The Delhi lad was fined Rs.12 lakh for his team's slow over rate against Rising Pune Supergiants on April 22 and then another Rs.24 lakh for the same against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.

That's not all. Virat now faces a one-match ban and Rs. 30 lakh fine should his team repeat the offense in Match 35 of the cash-rich league on Saturday.

“For the third and each subsequent offence (over rate) in a season as captain of the bowling team, the captain will be fined $ 50,000 and banned from playing in the team’s next league match,” reads the IPL’s Code of Conduct for players.

Considering his endorsement deals and annual income, these fines will not mean much to Virat. However, the one-match ban at this crucial juncture in the league will surely hurt RCB and Virat.
