Interpol seeks further clarifications from ED in Lalit Modi case

New Delhi: In the latest instalment of the Lalit Modi-Enforcement Directorate saga, Interpol has sought more details from the government agency with regards to the ongoing money laundering case.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, this latest development could lead to a delay in execution of a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against the former IPL commissioner.

The request for further clarifications came to ED from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is the Interpol’s nodal agency in India.

Earlier in the year, CBI on behalf of the ED had asked the global agency to issue a RCN against Modi for alleged violations under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
