New Delhi: Mainstay of Indian batting line-up, Virat Kohli has been struggling to score runs of late. Since the arrival of South Africa team, the stylish right-hander has accumulated mere 55 runs in three innings - two T20s and one ODI match.
The only good knock which came from his bat was during the first the T20 in Dharamsala, when he managed to score a quick 43-run knock.
However, in the next two matches, the 26-year-old failed to give India solidity up the order.
Kohli is certainly the best Indian batsman across all formats for quite some time now, and it seems that his slight slum in his form is hurting India badly.
India are still without a win against the visitors, who have already won the T20 series and now have a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series.
If the hosts really want to turn the tables around against a robust Proteas side, it's imperative that Kohli expresses himself in the middle and give the bowlers a run for their money.
