His side jumped to second spot in the ICC Test rankings behind the beaten Proteas.

Before the series started, India ranked 4th on table with 100 points.

The 3-0 series win saw them move to second with 110 points.

This was Kohli's debut series as captain on home soil.

Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin were declared Man of the Match and series respectively for the 4th Test.
