2nd ODI: India vs South Africa – Players to watch out for

New Delhi: Nobody expected the series to start this way. MS Dhoni & Co. are still searching for their first win against South Africa, who have been brilliant since their arrival in India.

After thrashing India 2-0 in the T20 series, the Proteas won the first ODI played at Kanpur by five runs.

As the two teams take on each other in the 2nd ODI at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, here are the players to watch out for:

MS Dhoni: The swords are out and the cognoscenti is aiming for his head. While many believe he is not the finisher he once used to be, experts have also questioned his place in the squad. His innings at Kanpur was blamed to be the reason behind India's loss. Dhoni, as we all know, has nerves of steel and it would be a big game for India's skipper, who needs to regain form with a formidable knock.

Harbhajan Singh: The Turbanator was recalled into the ODI squad post the injury to Ravichandran Ashwin. The veteran offie has been a match-winner for India in the past and he has picked 263 wickets from 232 ODIs. In Ashwin's absence, India will look forward to Bhajji to provide them with crucial breakthroughs.

Dale Steyn: He had an average first ODI as per his standards. Steyn conceded 54 runs from 10 overs and failed to create any sort of impact. The champion speedster has been the go-to man for several South African skippers in the past and AB de Villiers would want a fiery spell from him at Indore to give them a 2-0 lead in the series.

David Miller: While most of the South African batsmen have made their presence felt, it has been a quite series so far for the swashbuckling left-hander. Miller is yet to prove himself in the 50-over format and a good knock against India would give him loads of confidence.
