India vs England: Here's why Virat Kohli will score a big hundred in Rajkot

New Delhi: The stage is set for Virat Kohli to start new chapter against England in Test cricket. His record against England in Test has been awful, to say the least, considering how he has managed to pile runs everywhere, against all other teams. The Rajkot Test will be key to how he deals with England, and the rest of the matches in the five-match series.

He entered the England series after four successive series wins, which he led with example. But the failure against England has become a blot in his career.

But on Saturday, the 28-year-old, will try all the tricks in his book to herald a new chapter and score a big hundred. With the match still in favour of the visitors, the skipper just can't fail. And he hardly fails when the team needs his services.

But the one fact which augurs well for India fans is that his conversion rate, after reaching 20's is pretty high. And with a brilliant conversion rate, he is probably the best batsman now. He has 15 scores between 27-49, and another 25 50+ scores, besides those 13 centuries.

If India are to save the match, or even to force a result in the series opener, Kohli will need to come out with all guns firing.

And considering how he has scored in the last one year, it's safe to assume the Indian fans will be treated to a batting masterclass from the captain.

According to home hero Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored a scintillating hundred on Day 3, even a lead of 60-70 runs in the first innings will be good for the home team.

India were 319 for four at stumps, still 218 runs behind England.

Day 4 started with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane on crease but the Indian skipper became victim of an unfortunate hit-wicket.
