New Delhi: After the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli has emerged as the darling of cricket-mad Indian fans.
While skipper MS Dhoni continues to be a huge favorite, there is no denying that cricket in India has entered the Kohli era.
After taking charge of India's Test side, the Delhi batsman is the obvious choice to takeover the ODI and T20I captaincy when Dhoni leaves the game.
Apart from his batting skills, Kohli is considered by his colleagues as the ultimate team player.
Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin once said that Kohli wants his teammates to do as well as he does on the pitch.
Against Bangladesh, this side of the 27-year-old's personality was witnessed when he was fielding on the boundary.
As fans chanted his name, Kohli turned to them and pointed to the word 'India' on his jersey.
He wanted fans to chant 'India India' instead of his name.

While everybody loves the attention from fans, Kohli deserves credit for asking the fans to root for the team when Bangladesh were in the driving seat in the match.
