The Final Over: Relive how Hardik Pandya won the Bangalore thriller for India against Bangladesh

New Delhi: After a remarkable penultimate over from Jasprit Bumrah, Bangladesh were left 11 runs from the last over to complete a sensational win over India.

In modern day cricket, let alone the fast lanes of Twenty20, scoring 10+ runs have became a routine. But unluckily for the Tigers from across the border, that was not to be.

Relive how India, thanks to Hardik Pandya, pulled off a perfect job in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Over 19.1: One run. After frenetic field setting, the over started with Hardik Pandya bowling a full and wide delivery to dangerous Mahmudullah. One run from it as Mahmudullah couldn't find the gap, only managing to reach the deep cover.

Over 19.2: Four. Mushfiqur Rahim got the better of Pandya. The Indian bowler tried a slower, off short of a length delivery. The Bangladeshi wicket-keeper shuffle a bit and reached out his bat. A four, through extra cover.

Over 19.3: Four. Another four to the diminutive batsman. And India was staring at a certain defeat. This time Rahim went adventurous, scooping. His effort failed to make a decent contact, but still managed to beat a diving MS Dhoni on the left and raced through the boundary.

Over 19.4: Then, annus horribilis for Bangladesh. After hitting back-to-back fours, Mushfiqur's confidence was growing and it proved costly. A slower and short ball from Pandya, and Mushfiqur played a pull shot, only to find Shikhar Dhawan waiting for the catch.

Over 19.5: Having made the cross-over, Mahmudullah found the perfect setting to finally become a hero for his country in a winning cause. But once again, he was undone by himself. He too took the bait and perished in similar fashion. This time, Ravindra Jadeja completing a difficult catch at deep mid-wicket.

Over 19.6: Another short ball outside off, and MS Dhoni probably ran the best dash of his illustrious career to run out Mustafizur Rahman. Still needing a single to force a decider, Pandya just about offered a pretty hittable wide outside off delivery, which was missed by Shuvagata Hom.

Then, Dhoni beat Rahman from the non-striker's end to the stumps.

Thus, India beat Bangladesh by one run to keep their 2016 ICC World Twenty20 hopes alive.
