ICC World Twenty20: Warm-up match against India a fantastic experience, says Jerome Taylor

New Delhi: West Indies experienced pacer Jerome Taylor said that the ICC World Twenty20 warm-up fixture against India was a fantastic experience after the side lost by 45 runs on Thursday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Chasing 186 runs, the Windies folded for 140 in 19.2 overs.

Windies lost wickets in a pile and Taylor feels there's a lot to learn from the game and improve on not losing wickets in a heap.

"This was a fantastic experience for us and there's a lot to take from this game. Wickets kept falling in a cluster, that's something we can improve on. There's always room for improvement," Taylor said.

The set of controversies between the WICB and the players has threatened the lookout of the side as majority of faces haven't featured off late for the previous winners of this edition.

A bitter feud with the Cricket Board over payments marred the West Indies' preparations and lack of confidence is evident in the side.

Taylor stated that the players have been playing together for the last two weeks and they need to get to the drawing board quickly.

"We have been playing together for the last two weeks. We're a happy bunch together, we're just sharing each others' experience. We have to get to drawing board."
