ICC World Twenty20: Good news for Australian fans as TV networks finally strike broadcast deal

New Delhi: Cricket lovers Down Under will be thrilled after Cricket Australia announced on Sunday that the ICC World Twenty20 will be telecast in Australia.

According to a report on CricBuzz, Nine Network and Fox Sports penned a deal with Star, the host broadcaster to finally end all uncertainty.

The arrangement is similar to that was agreed upon during the 2015 ICC World Cup.

Fox will telecast 35 live matches, while Nine will show all of Australia's matches apart from the finals.

Nine network's team of experts will feature Michael Clarke, Ian Chappell, Mark Taylor, Ian Healy and Brett Lee.

Australia's batting consultant Michael Hussey will also join the team after his two-week stint with Steve Smith's boys.

Fox will telecast all matches without advertisement breaks during play with an HD broadcast available.

However Nine is yet to confirm whether it would show the matches on its main channel and in HD.

Fox's coverage will commence on March 8 with the matches Zimbabwe and Hong Kong, and Scotland and Afghanistan.
