HILARIOUS! Pakistani commentator granted Indian visa for cities with no WT20 matches featuring Pakistan

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, noted Pakistani commentator Mohammad Idrees was granted an Indian visa for two cities – Delhi and Mumbai - where Shahid Afridi's team will play no World T20 matches.

Idrees, a radio commentator, was scheduled to travel to India to cover the World T20 matches.

"The visa-issuing authorities have instructed me not to visit any other city except Mumbai and Delhi. Now in this very disturbing situation, I'm thinking whether or not I should go to India, simply because [naturally] my first priority will be Kolkata and Mohali," the dawn quoted Idrees as saying.

Asserting that the visa was issued to him on March 11, Idrees said it was surprising that he was not issued a visa for Kolkata or Mohali when Pakistan's match against India was already shifted from Dharamsala to Kolkata.

He also pressed that it would be tough for him to manage the situation if the Indian High Commission does no assist him quickly as time was running short.

The Pakistan cricket squad is scheduled to play their first-round matches in Kolkata and Mohali.

The team led by Shahid Afridi will open their World T20 campaign with the match against a qualifier on March 16.

It will then face its arch-rival India in Kolkata.
