Have nothing to do with Chettinad Cement, says N Srinivasan's rival AC Muthiah

New Delhi: Former BCCI president AC Muthiah on Saturday stated he had nothing to do with Chettinad Cement group that has shown interest in picking up a new IPL team.

“All these reports about me being involved with Chettinad Cement are not true. I am only a trustee in M.A.M. Ramaswamy’s trust. My role does not extend beyond that,” he told The Hindu.

Section of the media had reported that Muthiah was associated with the cement group that had bought the forms to invest in an IPL team.

Chettinad Cement is headed by M.A.M.R. Muthiah and not AC Muthiah, which perhaps led the confusion.

“You should talk to M.A.M.R. Muthiah. He could give you a clearer picture,” he further added.

N Srinivasan and Muthiah are considered as bitter rivals, which is why reports of the latter bidding for a franchise led to a lot of speculation.
