New Delhi: Though Indian colts missed the chance to lift the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup trophy for the record fourth time as they were beaten by spirited West Indies in the summit clash on Sunday, Sarfaraz Khan emerged as the star performer of the tournament.

After returning back home after the converted tournament in Bangladesh, Sarfaraz, who slammed five fifties in the tourney gave some credit of his success to India's Test skipper Virat Kohli.

While talking to NDTV, the 18-year-old batsman said that he has learnt a lot from Kohli during his IPL stint.

“I have learnt a lot from Virat Kohli while playing for the same team in IPL,” said Sarfaraz.

In the recently concluded U-19 World Cup, Sarfaraz Khan scored - 81, 74, 74, 21*, 76, 59 runs.

In fact, the hard-hitter created a new record in the history of the U-19 WC, when he slammed his seventh half-century in the final.

However, his fighting 51 was not enough as India lost the final by five wickets at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.
