New Delhi: The three-member Cricket Advisory Committee that was brought to existence by the BCCI in June 2015 isn't seen in the frame anymore. The committee which was formed on June 1, comprises former India legends Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman and its role is being hard to understand under present circumstances.

According to a report in the Times of India, a BCCI official has said that the committee doesn't exist anymore.

The committee which was formed through an initiative led by BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, with the late Jagmohan Dalmiya as president, was expected to advise the Board on cricket-related matters.

Since new president Shashank Manohar took over the reigns, the Indian Cricket Board is now obliged to list all its committees, expenditures, income and other important developments on its website. All committees of the BCCI have been uploaded on the website with their details except for the Cricket Advisory Committee.

Further reports claim that even the members of the committee had no idea about its role or existence.

Since the committee was formed, it had met only once on June 6.

The three members were handed the task of making recommendations to the Board on cricket matters but nothing has come to surface as it brings a question forward on why was it even formed if this had to be the outcome.
