Chris Gayle slams 34-ball 60 for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League

New Delhi: Swashbuckling opener Chris Gayle took the Quetta Gladiators' bowling line up by surprise on Tuesday as he played a swift knock of 60 for his franchise Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

After being invited to bat first, Qalandars openers – Gayle and Azar Ali – gave their side a flying start by adding 108 runs inside 11 overs.

The West Indian completed his fifty off mere 28 balls with the help of five sixes and thee boundaries.

Before giving his wicket to Zulfiqar Babar, the big hitter from Jamaica slammed 60 run off 34 balls, laced with six sixes and three boundaries.

And with that power-packed innings, Gayle, 36, has found his lost form back.

Before this knock, Gayle only managed to accumulate 43 runs in his last four innings – 6, 0, 37, 0 – in the on-going inaugural edition of PSL.
