New Delhi: Cricket's one of the most finest and aggressive batsman Brendon McCullum, is set to retire from international cricket in February.

The 34-year-old New Zealand batsman has confirmed his last outing for the Black Caps will be against Australia in February. The Kiwis play Australia in a two-match Test series.

 

McCullum has played 99 Test matches and will cross the three-figure mark against Australia to highlight a remarkable career for his country.

1) McCullum kicked off Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008 in a blockbuster mode. IPL's inaugural match played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) — saw McCullum, hammer a whirlwind unbeaten 158 off 73 balls.

 

2) McCullum holds the record for the highest runs scored in T20 internationals. McCullum has 2140 runs with an average of 35.66.

3) McCullum has represented 10 teams in domestic T20 all over the world. He has played for Canterbury, Otago, New South Wales, Brisbane Heat, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kochi Tuskers, Chennai Super Kings, Glamorgan, Sussex, and Warwickshire. He will represent new Team Rajkot in IPL 2016.

 

4) McCullum has has the fastest century for New Zealand in Tests. He has scored tons in 74 and 78 balls respectively.

5) McCullum remains New Zealand’s most successful wicketkeeper in international cricket with 453 dismissals across all three formats.
