BIG MONEY! This is how much BCCI pays Team India's assistant coach

New Delhi: The BCCI is currently looking to hire a fast bowling coach for the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Unfortunately, the Indian board has been unable to find a suitable candidate to nurture the second rung of Indian pacers.

According to a report in the Times of India, the world's richest cricket board is willing to pay Rs 60 lakh per year for the same.

Considering an assistant coach with Team India is paid between Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.5 crore annually, many believe Rs 60 lakh per year at NCA isn't justified as both tasks are equally demanding.

Also Indian team's support staff are allowed to take up IPL assignments, while the BCCI does not permit the NCA coach to do the same.

The Indian board wants the fast bowling coach to relocate to Bengaluru. This is another reason why there is a problem in hiring the right candidate.

"The board has put together a process of hiring a bowling coach. The NCA already has two permanent coaches," a top BCCI official told TOI.
