Bangladesh's Kamrul Islam Rabbi named for Zimbabwe ODIs

Dhaka: Bangladesh pacer Kamrul Islam Rabbi on Sunday earned his first national call in the limited-overs squad named for the first two One-Day Internationals (ODI) against Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) left out Taskin Ahmed while Al-Amin Hossain has returned after having been in wilderness since the World Cup as the board announced a 14-man squad, reports bdnews24.com.

Right-arm pacer Kamrul did well for Bangladesh A in their South Africa tour to break into the national team. He bagged six wickets in two matches there.

Al-Amin had lost his place in the team after being sent home from the World Cup due to disciplinary reasons in February. He played his last ODI in last November against Zimbabwe. The 25-year old also put up a good show for the A team, taking 12 wickets in four matches.

Zimbabwe are set to arrive on Monday with the first two of the three ODIs scheduled for November 7 and 9 in Mirpur. The ODI series will be followed by a two-match Twenty20 International series.

Bangladesh squad for first two ODIs: Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (Captain), Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Jubair Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi.
