New Delhi: Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle achieved a new feat in his career after he completed 200th Test wickets on Friday. Siddle, who has been drafted back into the Australian playing XI, achieved the milestone against New Zealand on a historic day of Test cricket.

Friday witnessed the first ever day/night Test to be played in the history of the game as Australia, New Zealand clashed against each other in the third Test in Adelaide, Oval.

Australia, who lost the toss on Friday, dismissed New Zealand for a paltry 202 runs in the first innings. The Aussie pacers excelled with the pink ball as the trio of Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Peter Siddle shared eight wickets between them.

Siddle, who needed two wickets to join the 200-wicket club, got the important breakthrough of an in-form Ross Taylor after teasing him to poke at a ball straight to the keeper.

His 200th victim was Doug Bracewell. Former Australia legend Glenn McGrath congratulated Siddle on the landmark.

Siddle became the 15th bowler to enter the 200-wicket club in Test cricket for Australia. The Pink ball Test is the 58th match of his career.
