India vs Australia: Unrivalled Virat Kohli in numbers

New Delhi: Virat Kohli's love for the Australian bowling attack is widely known. But the Indian batsman, after helping India to a rare series win on Friday, enhanced his reputation further with a series of impressive numbers.

The second Twenty20 International at Melbourne Cricket Ground, which India won by 27 runs, witnessed the class of Kohli as he went onto make second successive unbeaten fifty. In the process, the 27-year old also won back-to-back Man of the Match awards, fifth in this format.

Besides, he also became the first player to reach an average of fifty-plus in T20Is, now at 50.65 after scoring 1165 runs in 30 innings for India.

But what's more heartening is the fact that, he averages 67.08 when India win – with a total of 805 runs in 20 matches.

With 149 runs, without being dismissed, Kohli's aggregate is the best by an Indian batsman in a bilateral series.

And in the India-Australia T20I series, he has scored 269 runs at an average of 53.80 in seven matches, thus eclipsing Yuvraj Singh's 247 (ave.61.75) in eight matches.
