New Delhi: Having surrendered the five-match series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, MS Dhoni's side has nothing but pride to play for against Steve Smith's Australia in the 4th ODI on Wednesday.

Despite having the cushion of sizeable totals to defend, India's bowling unit has found Aussie wickets hard to come by so far in the series.

To make matters worse, the Men in Blue have been woeful in the field as well.

Barring impressive contributions from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane, nothing seems to have gone as per plan for the visitors.

While the Aussies chased down 300 plus scores rather easily in the first two games, the Indians managed to put up a spirited fight in the third.

The sharp decline in the fortunes of India's ODI team is there for all to see. MS Dhoni has now led India to three successive series defeats. In fact Team India hasn't won an ODI series since November 2014.

Despite the disappointment, Indian fans will want the team to put up a strong display in the remaining two ODIs to restore respectability to the scoreline.
