Australia vs India 2016: Best chance for MS Dhoni & Co to take revenge

New Delhi: This time around, limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni & Co have possibly the best chance to take revenge of all disgraceful tours under the skipper against Australia in the past.

And the biggest reason behind it is that Australian team is not at all looking robust on papers, especially their bowling department.

In a new-look squad, experienced James Faulkner is the only bowler who in all likelihood set to play in all the five ODIs, scheduled to be played between India and Australia.

With Mitchell Johnson retiring in 2015 and the likes of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins being injured, reports have come that in-form Josh Hazlewood might also be rested after playing in the first two ODIs. Selectors are keen to look after the pacer to ensure he remains in peak condition for the forthcoming Test tours of New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Apart from that James Pattinson, who made his Test return last month is not named in the squad.

With Peter Siddle also nursing an injury, the bowling line-up seems totally inexperienced.

If that's not all, then swashbuckling Australian opener c is also expected to take paternity leave for the birth of his second child with wife Candice.

On papers at least, Australian line-up is looking a bit depleted. So Dhoni and Co have a perfect chance to seize the opportunity to beat Australia Down Under and win the bilateral ODI series.
