New Delhi: Explosive Australian opener David Warner on Friday crushed the New Zealand bowling attack on Day 1 of the 2nd Test at Perth.
The left-hander put on a grand show, as he registered his career's first Test double ton.
The diminutive batsman ended the day unbeaten on 244 runs. Warner's 272-ball knock was laced with 22 hits to the fence and 2 maximums at an astonishing strike rate of 89.70.

The 29-year-old's knock powered the Aussies to a commanding total of 416/2 at the close of play.
Ideally, the home side would want to bat as long as possible on Day 2 in order to have enough runs on the board to not bat again.
This scenario offers Warner an opportunity to break Brian Lara's highest individual Test score of 400 not out.
Though the Aussies are not known to chase personal records, the pace at which Warner gets his runs puts him in a prime position to do so.
Matthew Hayden, number two on the list, holds the record for highest individual Test score (380 vs Zimbabwe) by an Australian.
Though Warner has already done his job, he will know Saturday could turn out to be the most special day of his cricket career.
