New Delhi: The Indian squad has been hit by multiple injury problems ever since they landed in Bangladesh for the Asia Cup.
First it was MS Dhoni and then the in-form openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan followed the skipper on the doctor's table.
While Dhawan participated in the training ahead of the Sri Lanka game, Rohit skipped the session.
However, news has now trickled in that both openers are set to reunite at the top of the order after a gap of one match.
According to a report on ESPNCricinfo, Shikhar Dhawan has recovered from the niggle that kept him out of the previous match. He will likely open again alongside Rohit Sharma, who has also been cleared to play after sustaining a bruised toe.
This is indeed good news for Team India, as they would have preferred to not tinker with the batting line-up that has delivered the goods in recent series.
India currently lead the pack with 4 points from 2 games in the Asia Cup. A win over Sri Lanka will virtually guarantee a place in the final for MS Dhoni and co.
