UAE performed brilliantly in the qualifying round ahead of the main stage of Asia Cup 2016.
Having won three consecutives matches against Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Oman, they earned praise from cricket fans across the globe.
While Afghanistan were the favourites to emerge as the fifth team for the tournament, Ahmed Javed and his boys were determined to seal a spot for the main stage. UAE stunned Asghar Stanikzai-led side with a 16-run win in the first match.
Compared to the other four teams, UAE lack experience for the big stage and it remains to be seen whether they can cope up with the pressure.
Their coach Aquib Javed knows a thing and two about the Asian giants and his experience could help UAE put up a fight in the continental tournament.
