Asia Cup 2016: I felt like my game is back, says Yuvraj Singh after 35-run knock against Sri Lanka

New Delhi: India's vintage left-handed batsman Yuvraj Singh said he needed a bit of flow and that he felt like his game is back after scoring a brisk 35 against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Asia Cup in Mirpur on Tuesday.

Yuvraj played a pivotal role alongside Virat Kohli in India's five-wicket win over Sri Lanka, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

Speaking to BCCI.TV, Yuvraj said that he felt being positive at the crease after getting some hits and felt his game is back.

"Today was one of those days where I felt my flow was back. I needed a bit of a flow out there to feel good. I felt being positive out there when I got a few hits off my bat. I felt that my game is back," Yuvraj said.

The 34-year-old, who made a comeback in the national T20I team in January this year, shared a 51-run partnership with Virat Kohli (56 not out), which served as a match-winning feat for India by five wickets.

Yuvi went on to add that he needed some time in the middle and assesed which bowlers to go after.

"I just needed some time in the middle. I have been trying to get as much batting time as possible and I believe I have been picking up slowly. "I was assessing which bowlers I am going to attack and which bowlers I won't. I told myself that if a left-arm spinner is bowling, then I am going to go and attack straight away. Any left-hand batsman who can hit sixes will go after left-arm spin," said Yuvraj.

The southpaw struck 35 runs off just 18 deliveries which included three sixes.

Yuvraj also heaped praise on Kohli, who played his second consecutive match-winning innings in the tournament.

"I feel he has been in the form of his life for the last five to six years. He has been very consistent and he knows his role really well. He is batting beautifully and I hope he continues to do that," he said.

India face United Arab Emirates next on Thursday ahead of the final on March 6.
