New Delhi: The much-awaited epic saga 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' helmed by SS Rajamouli will open in theatres on April 28, 2017, and we can't really wait for it to unfold on 70mm screens. After all, we will get our answer 'Kattappa Ne Baahubali Ko Kyu Mara'?
'Baahubali 2' trailer was launched yesterday and the result is historic. In just 24 hours, it has garnered 50 million views on YouTube. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has got the distribution rights of the Hindi version of the S S Rajamouli-directed fantasy drama.
PTI quoted the filmmaker as saying, "When I introduced the film, we can proudly say that the most awaited film of the year is not made in Hindi. It's a masterpiece. It is a pan-Indian film and the credit goes to Rajamouli. The film is heading for a historic run at the box office."
He said this at the trailer launch of the film last night in Mumbai.
'Baahubali: The Beginning' had reportedly earned Rs 650 crore at the box office. Johar said 'Baahubali' series has inspired a lot of young directors.
"One can conceptualise a film like 'Baahubali' (in Hindi cinema) but no one has done it so far. 'Baahubali' has given opportunities to Hindi cinema. There are many young filmmakers from my company who are inspired by it. I hope it translates into more films like this."
