Mumbai: Not too long ago, the makers of Prabhas starrer ‘Saaho’ had confirmed that Anushka Shetty would play the female lead in the film. However, if the latest buzz is anything to go by, then the pretty actress may no longer be a part of it.
This may sound shocking but that’s the latest though there has been no official announcement about the same.
According to a report in India.com originally attributed to Bollywoodlife.com, Anushka was asked to shed a few more kilos to fit into the role she was offered.
“Anushka was training hard for her role in ‘Saaho’. However, her weight has become a bone of contention. She is still about five to eight kilo over weight. And this will cost her the film itself,” Bollywoodlife.com quoted a source as saying.
Fans of this onscreen jodi were thrilled when Anushka was roped in to play Prabhas’ love interest in the Sujeeth directorial.
The two set the silverscreeb ablaze with their chemistry in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and since then have been fans’ hot favourite jodi.
Their on screen equation looked so adorable that some of their admirers wanted to see them getting married in real life too!
Nonetheless, it would now be interesting to know if Anushka is still a part of ‘Saaho’.
