New Delhi: 'Baahubali 2' actor Prabhas became a heartthrob right after the mega success of this blockbuster franchise by SS Rajamouli. All eyes are now set on his next film 'Saaho' which has an ensemble star cast of Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and Lal.
Before Shraddha was finalised to play the female lead in 'Saaho', several big names were doing the rounds. From Katrina Kaif to Anushka Shetty, all were speculated to be starring in the film.
Now that Shraddha is playing the lead finally, it has come to light that the first choice for the role was Alia Bhatt. India.com quotes a source as telling them, “Though Shraddha has been finalised and has already started working on Saaho, the makers were actually eyeing Alia opposite the actor. They even approached Alia but she wasn’t too kicked about the role she was offered in Saaho which is why she opted out.”
Alia is currently busy with Karan Johar's 'Brahmastra' with Ranbir Kapoor and wrapped up the shoot for Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi'.
'Saaho' is directed by Sujeeth and is being shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
