Jaipur: A 13-year-old male tiger died in the Chiroli forest area of Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur district, forest officials said on Thursday.

The feline, named T33, was found bleeding yesterday outside the national park's periphery by forest guards, field director YK Sahu said.

"The tiger was probably injured during a territorial fight. He had injury marks on his front legs and neck. Despite our best medical efforts, T33 did not survive," Sahu said, adding the carcass was cremated in the forest area.
