Virat Kohli's brilliant record against Australia in Tests - In Numbers

In the 2015 Test series against Australia, Virat Kohli broke Sachin's record of most runs by a visiting number 4 batsman. He had scored 480 runs.

In 2014-15 Test series against Australia, Virat scored a total of 692 runs. It is still the highest by any visiting Indian batsman.

With his knock of 204 runs against Bangladesh in the one-off Test, he became the first batsman to score four double tons in four consecutive Test series.

Australian spinner Nathan Lyon is the second bowler to send Virat Kohli back to the pavilion, most number of times (4).

In India's tour of Australia, back in 2014, Virat posted three centuries, making him the second Indian batsman to do so in Test series against the Aussies.

Sitting comfortably in the second spot with 895 points on the list of best Test batsman, Virat is just three short of Sachin's career best of 898.

He is currently two short of Sunil Gavaskar's record of 11 Test tons as a captain.
