Malcolm Marshall: In the 1984 Headingley Test against England, Marshall shattered his thumb while batting. Undeterred, he continued to bat with one hand, helping his teammate Larry Gomes reach his century. Graeme Smith: In the 2009 Sydney Test against Australia, Smith injured his hand when he was hit by a thundering ball from Mitchell Johnson.
