RCB beat KKR by 8 wickets

Virat Kohli and Gurkeerat Mann wrapped up the victory for their side in just 13.2 overs which will surely boost their net run-rate. The fate of the match was already decided in the first half of KKR innings where they totally collapsed.

KKR looked as if they would be losing a wicket at every ball once the RCB psinners were operating. The unfortunate thing for KKR was that even their run-rate was dismal on the day as they ambled along at pedestrian pace.

RCB thus reached the second position in the points table for the time being.

Lockie Ferguson threatens a comeback for KKR

Lockie Ferguson, bowling his first over, removed the well set Aaron Finch on his second ball and then just two balls later, there was a terrible mix-up between Gurkeerat Mann and Devdutt Padikkal.

Gurkeerat defended a ball and Padikkal came too far down the track to go back and Cummins just jogged to the non-striker's end and ran him out.

It was a poor show from KKR but Lockie Ferguson still had a good day. He finished an economical spell of 4-0-17-1 and had also scored a valuable 19 runs with the bat.

Padikkal and Finch give strong start to RCB

Chasing a paltry 85 runs to win, Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch gave a very strong start to RCB - Perhaps, giving a lesson to the KKR batsmen on how to go about batting in the powerplay.

In the first six overs, the RCB duo raced away to 44/0. They didn't take any unnecessary risks and relied on rotating the strike initially and then went for their shots.

The duo engaged in a 46-run stand for the opening wicket which was the final nail in the coffin.

RCB restrict KKR to a paltry 84/8

A complete top-order collapse saw KKR managing a paltry 84/8 on the board. Only Eoin Morgan (30 off 34 balls) and Lockie Ferguson (19 off 16 balls) could handle the RCB bowling to some extent.

KKR played like amateur school cricketers on the day and when the RCB spinners were operating, it looked like a wicket going down on almost every ball.

Mohammad Siraj was the pick of the bowlers with a spell of 4-2-8-3.

KKR collapse continues against RCB

KKR were batting in the game like amateur school cricketers. They were simply crushed on the day by the bulldozer like bowling attack from RCB.

It was one way show all along with no batsmen being able to negotiate the RCB bowlers. Dinesh Karthik and Eoin Morgan were looking steady at the crease but Chahal removed Karthik lbw, where the umpire had to change his decision after a succesful review from Virat Kohli.
