Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 9 wickets. Ishan Kishan hit one six in Dube's 14th over of the innings to bring them right at the cusp of victory and finished things off with a huge six off Anrich Nortje. Kishan carried his bat and ended his knock at 72* (off 47 balls; 4x8, 6x3). MI: 111/1 (14.2 Overs)
This win ensured that Mumbai will finish inside the top two of the points table and thus will get two opportunities to qualify for the IPL 2020 final. Delhi Capitals lost their fourth consecutive match and are now in danger of missing out on the all-important playoff berth.
Bumrah (4-0-17-3) was the pick of the bowlers earlier and set the tone for Mumbai but it was Kishan who was awarded the 'Man of the Match' award.

Ishan Kishan carries his bat with unbeaten 72
Ishan Kishan scored his third fifty of the season and the sixth of his career as he remained unbeaten on 72 (off 47 balls; 4x8, 6x3). Kishan looked in tremendous touch from the onset and also completed 350 runs in IPL 2020.
A six over sweeper cover against Rabada was the shot of the day and he finished things off in style with a huge six against Anrich Nortje.

Ishan Kishan- Quinton de Kock engage in 68-run opening stand
Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock stitched a 68-run opening stand for Mumbai, to land the final nail in the coffin.
The duo started steadily and ensured a comfortable sailing for Mumbai and then started imposing themselves after the opening powerplay.
de Kock was unfortunate to get out in bizarre fashion, when he played one onto his own stumps.

Ishan Kishan-Quniton de Kock give solid start to MI
The opening duo of Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock gave a solid start to Mumbai Indians. The duo ended the opening powerplay at 38/0 and did well to keep things steady and not try anything over the top.
They engaged in a 68-run opening stand to ensure that things stayed smooth for Mumbai.

Delhi Capitals posted just 110/9 against Mumbai Indians.
Not at one point did Delhi Capitals batting look like in command and they just waned away from bad to poor. They never recovered after losing Dhawan and Shaw early. Jasprit Bumrah took three quick wickets in the middle overs to rip Capitals apart.

Bumrah rips the Capitals apart with two wickets in same over
Jasprit Bumrah was again in red-hot form on the day. In just his second over, he removed new-man in Marcus Stoinis and the well-set Rishabh Pant to hand the reigns of the game to his side.
Stoinis was the first to go when he nicked an away swinger straight into the hands of keeper de Kock while Pant followed him just three balls later after getting trapped in front.

Shreyas Iyer- Rishabh Pant engage in scrappy 35-run partnership
Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant joined forces with a huge job infront of them. The score read 15/2 when they joined forced in the middle. The duo, though, failed to get going against a very tight attack from Mumbai. Their spin duo of Krunal Pandya and Jayant Yadav gave away just 16 runs in their combine four overs.
The duo could only manage a 35-run stand from 44 balls. Iyer departed for 25 when he got stumped out to Rahul Chahar on the latter's second ball of the day.

Trent Boult removes Shikhar Dhawan-Prithvi Shaw early
Trent Boult gave the early advantage to Mumbai Indians when, just on the third ball of the match, Shikhar Dhawan departed for a duck. This was Dhawan's second consecutive duck. He tried to square cut one and Suryakumar Yadav took a low-diving catch.
Then Prithvi Shaw was the next one to go as he failed to justify his inclusion in the XI - falling to Boult in the third over when trying to go for a big pull.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Mumbai Indians made two changes to their playing XI. Jayant Yadav and Nathan Coulter-Nile came in for Hardik Pandya (rested) and James Pattinson respectively.
Mumbai Indians had already qualified for the IPL 2020 playoffs - becoming the first team to do so and thus didn't want to take any unnecessary risks with Hardik.
