Pat Cummins roped in by KKR for Rs 15.50 crore

Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins became the most expensive overseas player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) when he was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the IPL Player Auction in December 2019 for this year's lucrative T20 tournament.The Kolkata-based franchise spent a whopping Rs 15.50 crore to rope in Cummins, who represented the Mumbai-based franchise at last year's IPL.

Kings XI bought Glenn Maxwell for Rs 10.75 crore

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell made his way back into the King XI Punjab squad after being bought by the franchise for a whopping Rs 10.75 crore for the 13th edition of the tournament, which is slated to take place from September 19 to November 10.

Rajasthan Royals bagged Robin Uthappa for Rs 3 crore

Batsman Robin Uthappa, who was released by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 Player Auction, became the most expensive by of the inaugural edition champion Rajasthan Royals when he was puchased for Rs 3 crore in Kolkata.The 34-year-old was the only Indian player in the auction list with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.
