Prime Minister Modi has invited President Macron to visit India at the earliest possible opportunity. PM Modi emplaned for India after the conclusion of his engagements in Paris on Wednesday (May 4).

India and France expressed serious concern about the humanitarian situation and violation of human rights in Afghanistan while calling for an inclusive and representative government in the country. The two leaders are expected to have also discussed how to ensure the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine and mitigate the global economic consequences of this conflict. (Pic: ANI)

Soon after his arrival in Paris, Modi had described France as one of India's strongest partners, with both countries cooperating in diverse areas. His visit comes during the French presidency of the European Union. It also coincides with the 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and France. (pic: ANI)
