The glacier burst in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district has left many in distress. Indian military personnel teamed up with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to mount rescue operations. The people rescued were taken to the 1st Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Joshimath Hospital. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat paid a visit to the 12 rescued persons admitted in this hospital.
