These states to witness heavy rainfall during next 4 days, predicts IMD
The IMD said that the western end is very likely to shift gradually northwards from August 24 and the eastern end is likely to shift southwards from August 26, due to which, several states are likely to witness widespread rainfall activity.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday (August 23, 2021) said that the western end of the monsoon trough lies to the south of its normal position and the eastern end lies to the north of its normal position. It said that the western end is very likely to shift gradually northwards from August 24 and the eastern end is likely to shift southwards from August 26, due to which, several states in India are likely to witness widespread rainfall activity.
